JD is the director and global organizer. His joys include discussing evidence-based charity, meeting and connecting inspiring people, and starting each morning with iced coffee and prayer.
He lives in a suburb of Washington D.C. and worships at Union City Church.
Asia is the UK/Cambridge community liaison. A student at the University of Cambridge, Asia is interested in governmental policies, reducing poverty and improving institutions in order to face pressing global issues such as climate change. In her spare time, she enjoys learning foreign languages and participating in a range of sports.
Vesa is the research coordinator. He has completed a MTheol in Helsinki University and worked as a pastor and youth worker. Currently in he works as the Career Advising Manager at Effective Altruism Finland in addition to his work at EACH. He is interested in the intersection of EA and Christianity, academic theology and philosophy, and EA movement building and outreach.
Board of Trustees (UK)
Alex is a trade negotiator for the UK Government. Before joining the UK Civil Service he studied Philosophy, Politics & Economics and a Masters in Philosophical Theology at Oxford University where he was heavily involved in both the Christian Union and Effective Altruism societies.
Grayden works in finance in London and supports EA charities through donations. He is passionate about helping other Christians to make their their lives more impactful and ambitious about the ability of altruists to solve some of humanity's biggest problems. Grayden is also Co-Treasurer and Trustee of Effective Altruism UK and an Ambassador for International Care Ministries, a holistic charity serving the ultra-poor in the Philippines.
Waithera is a force multiplier & growth catalyst, and sees her role in the world as an enabler (for other people and organisations) to be all that they can be, as God intended. Currently, she expresses this call by helping charities to operate more effectively, Bible study teaching, and mentoring young people on practical Christian living. She loves the Lord and His Word, and is totally sold out to Him and His purposes. She also enjoys organizing, learning about the mind, has a keen interest in personal financial management, theology and optimizing productivity.
Board of Directors (USA)
Sydney works in finance in New York, where she also organizes the EA Finance community. She graduated with degrees in mathematics, economics and philosophy from the University of Arizona. Sydney is a member of the Catholic Church, having previously been a Quaker, and has been involved with EA since 2017.
Dominic is a senior lecturer and researcher at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). His days are filled by looking after his two little boys. He loves Sunday mornings at the local Anglican Church and enjoys playing strategy games.

Mike is a partner at a quantitative hedge fund manager based in New Jersey, USA (and works remote from the Texas coast). He has a degree in Economics from Harvard, and a background in actuarial science and risk management. He is also an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA). He enjoys hiking, games, french fries, road trips, and spending time with family.
